ABOUT ME

ChM. Dr. Mohd Sukor Su’ait, completed his PhD in Chemistry from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia in 2014. He obtained his BSc (2007) and MSc (2010) in chemistry from the same institution. Currently, he has been appointed as research fellow at Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI), and associate researcher at Polymer Research Center (PORCE), UKM, Malaysia. His research interest covers synthesis and characterization of electrochemical materials for energy storage and conversion devices. He had published almost 70 papers in international refereed journal with h-index, 15 (2021), cumulative citation of ~1000. Previously, on June 2009, he has been selected as Young Scientist to represent The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), in the 59th Nobel Laureates Meeting, dedicated to chemistry at Lindau, Germany and honoured as ASEAN Scientist for Tomorrow by ASEAN at Jakarta, Indonesia in July 2009 and also recipient of young researcher supporting program/travel award for attending prestigious international conference in Japan (SSI-13) and Australia (ISPE-14). Recently, he was named as one of Merdeka Award Grant recipient for international attachment, to further investigates the promising Malaysian main commodities such as palm and rubber as solid polymer electrolyte in energy conversion and storages devices. Apart from that, he is an active member of several international scientific communities including Treasurer of American chemical society (ACS), International society of electrochemistry (ISE), a member of Malaysian Polymer Society, Registered Chemist with Malaysia Institute of Chemistry (IKM) as well as a certified Energy Manager by ASEAN Energy Management Accreditation Scheme (AEMAS).
