Appointment as a new members of the

Young Scientists Network-Academy of Sciences Malaysia (YSN-ASM) 2016

On behalf of Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM), I would like to congratulate you on the your success in being selected to be a new member for 2016 at the recent YSN-ASM Selection Interview. Your Appointment will take effect from the 1st December 2016 to 31st of December 2019.

This year marks a new and more robust approach towards positioning YSN-ASM to be more visible and impactful. As Vice President of ASM, I have full faith and trust that you will give your full commitment towards realising YSN-ASM's 2016-2018 Strategic Plan which highlights:

Young Scientist: Positioning the role of young scientists as a strategic partner in policy making and implementation.

Scientific Ecosystem: Fostering responsible science and injecting "soul" into the R&D ecosystem.

Society: Raising societal interest in science and appreciation of the impact of science excellence

Global: Global positioning through regional and international dialogue & representatives

As a leading young scientist in this country, i hope that you will continue to excel in your research and inspire a new generation of young scientists to excel and contribute back to society. It is essential for you to take part in various ASM studies and initiatives as a part of ASM's plan to nurture the next generation of leaders in sciences.

As new member, you will be invited to attend the 2015 YSN-ASM colloquium on 16-18 December 2016 during which the certificate presentation ceremony will be held. This event will serve as an avenue to channel your constructive inputs for shaping the future of the Malaysian scientific community and expose yourself to various YSN-ASm programmes and initiatives that you could contribute to.
